Image Quality
The architectural benefits of the Radeon X1900 series really shine when you start to combine antialiasing with high-dynamic-range rendering. We compared images from the Radeon rendered at 1600x1200 with 4xAA and 16xAF, while the Nvidia setup could only run at 1600x1200 with 16xAF. Nvidia's cards are not able to run antialiasing with certain high-dynamic-range titles. As for the images, they speak for themselves. ATI's output is superior simply because it can apply antiali...
keep in mind that Nvidia's GeForce 7900 GTX cannot render certain games with both antialiasing and HDRL enabled at the same time. As we showed in 3DMark06, the Radeon X1900 XTX CrossFire's ability to perform both of these functions at the same time improved image quality greatly. The list of HDRL games isn't long at the moment, but it will keep growing.
Contrary to popular belief, editors of the Official PlayStation Magazine don't get free hardware for their own personal use. So I've been having an ongoing debate with myself about the PS3 since E3. After Kaz announced that the price would be $600, I found my enthusiasm sagging.
It's not that I find the concept of a $600 console insulting. Inflation happens, and it's natural that eventually inital prices will be higher than they used to be. But when I know that a console's dir...
What is it that HD DVD is doing that helps differentiate itself from Blu-ray? Here are a few nuggets to chew on:
VC1 Compression: While both Blu ray and HD DVD players are required to be compatible with three different compression technologies (including VC1), an intriguing trend has already begun. Content providers (movie studios) for HD DVD are nearly unanimously using the brand new VC1 compression technology, whereas Blu-ray providers are sticking with the ten-year-old MPEG ...
Still on my d1ck boy? lol...lol...lol....lol
HD dvd is not only half the price of blu ray players but superior quality and features. Consumers love better quality for a lower price. Kind of like the 360. WOW. And I refuse to comment to NJ. So he can talk to himself and agree with himself. lol....lol.....lol
I must say, our first Blu-ray versus HD DVD comparisons continue to yield surprises. I wasn't expecting to see much difference in video quality between the two formats with 'Rumor Has It...', yet the two discs did bear noticeable differences, with the HD DVD boasting better detail and a more film-like look. And Warner has again dropped the Dolby Digital-Plus option from the Blu-ray version. However, the Blu-ray is a good $5 cheaper than the pricey $39.95 list price the studio is charging for ...
Whatever its merits as a film, 'Training Day' has made history by becoming one of the first titles to be released on both the Blu-ray and HD DVD formats. In our first head-to-head comparison, we found the HD DVD to be superior. The unfortunate cropping of the Blu-ray image, coupled with more noticeable compression artifacts and an overall darker cast, can't compete with the more consistently pleasing presentation of the HD DVD. Also a strike against the Blu-ray version is that both the Dolby ...
speak of the devil. lol....lol....lol..... This dude here don't even deserve any responses. Someone hacked his computer and spammed the board. yeah, "OKAY" You should have a nice warm spot for you in that beautiful place that you deserve with all your lies. Nuff said about you.
Of course. It can't be that we all agree and that we all have common sense ain't don't fall for you, Jin, NJ, and the truths lies. lol...lol...lol....We all use a keyboard and we all use words in the english language. I can't believe you have lost it to the point to where you would accuse people of creating multi accounts for this site. NJ is the only guy I know who has done that admittingly and he got busted out lying so much, he went into hiding. I could care less who has multi accounts...
its funny how everyone on this site knows what I'm about but you and a few other SONY ONLY fans. Everyone knows I can and will back everything I put up. I don't talk out my azz like you and others do wishing for sony's success. I could care less who wins the console war. But I do care about mis information being spread on this site. Its not a ms or sony site. Is a site for gamers. And the truth shall always prevail as long as I'm posting here. Most people appreciate coming here and le...
I don't doubt the cg cut scenes might be in 1080p. We'll see. But the game play won't be. Sony games are good for having spectacular cut scenes then when the game starts you are in for a major let down. Some people play games for cut scenes. If you want to show off how good your streaming hd cut scenes look then the ps3 is for you. If you want spectacular game play with cut scenes that are just as spectacular. Then the 360 is for you. I want games to play. Not 4 hours of hd cut scene...
Thanks. DJ is a joke on here. He lies and then thinks people will fall for it. I inform people and let them decide. He has no idea how people look at him when he lies over and over again.

You've been disproven on every single one of your outlandish claims and I've owned you on every single reply. The fact that your own links disprove your claims is hilarious in and of itself. By the way, Wardevil is 1080p.
You better edit your statement that it's 1080i, which I know you did on purpose since Wardevil was announced as 1080p almost a year ago.

Here is an example of whats coming for the ps3 and what resolution they are using. Just because your system can display 1080p don't mean devs will use that resolution. Its not feasable with the major hit on frame rate and effects due to low memory. Not even 1 gig of system ram. Try this if you have a computer. Only have 256 ram in your computer then put a 256 ram video card in your computer. Now try and play half life in 1200 by 1600 and watch the frame rate and effects that are omitted...
Once we enabled antialiasing, ATI swept the field with 3DMark06. Nvidia's implementation cannot compete if you want both HDR rendering and antialiasing at the same time.
